To make sure you reach 50,000 words, you should write at least 1,667 words a day. I kept fiddling, going outside, walking around, but I finally sat down and over the course of a few hours typed 1,989 words. Woot!

Of course, I used Fantasy Gathering as my setting and decided to pursue a story idea where the creator is taken into his world. I’ve always loved the idea and thought it’d be neat to write something like that. I had to think of a lot of hurdles and limits to make sure it creates enough conflict to … write a novel.

Think! Like… What was the last thing I did? Did I fall down the stairs? Or worse, did I walk into traffic? I love this world. It’s my home away from home.” Thomas closed the book and frowned, “Am I lying in a hospital bed just dying? What if I died already and this is my version of Heaven? But where’s my relatives?”

A quick sample of what I wrote today. I really do hope I stick to it and keep going. I have the opener down… It’s the rest of the stuff I’m gonna have to really figure out.
