A week of writing results at 12,898 words. I would keep trying for tonight but I have a couple shows coming on pretty soon (Boardwalk Empire & The Walking Dead) as well as two netflix movies to try to watch and get sent out by tomorrow (Prince of Persia & Splice).
Right now, I have two major fears. One is that I just completely idle out because I have no idea how to get to the next scene without making a huge mess. The other is that I complete the story way before I reach 50k words. I’m pretty sure that I’ll keep meeting the daily goal. I haven’t failed one yet – knock on wood. I already see a couple gaps and errors I’ve done so far and I keep fighting the urge to go back and correct stuff. This is all the first draft and I’m sure I’ll have *more* changes to do to the earlier stuff as I keep making my way through the draft. A friend swears that the editing is the ‘fun’ part. … ha.
Right now I’m trying to figure out how to weasel in a Brownie named Whiskerbush. I plucked that name right out of this ‘Cactus in Texas field guide’ right along with Chenille, the name of Tera’s fairy. Trying not to reveal any details but there you have it!
