Fantasy Gathering A dash of wizardry and dragons
Torchwood: Miracle Day
I was told that Starz aired the season premiere to a new series tonight (technically ‘last night’ seeing as how it’s almost 2am right now) called Torchwood. I decided to sit down and catch the ‘encore’. The episode was off to an interesting start… No deaths in 24 hours and it was being called “Miracle […]
Weekly Photo Challenge: Sky
The Daily Post’s Weekly Photo Challenge is Sky. I was really surprised to see this because earlier tonight I took a picture of these purple rays coming out of the clouds! Makes me want to write a story including a scene like this where some magic is bursting behind the clouds because of some powerful […]
Camp NaNoWriMo
I passed through NaNoWriMo and made the discovery that some ‘camp’ version had opened up. Camp NaNoWriMo. Upon reading that my NNWM log-in is already there, I logged in and looked around. From what it appears, it has the same goal as NNWM except it happens in July and August. July seems to be a […]
True Blood – Be Vampire or Vampire Hunter?
Ah, a new season of True Blood starts tonight on HBO at 9pm EST. Can’t wait! I also love how LiveJournal’s “Writer’s Block” question for today is this: Would you rather be a vampire or a vampire hunter, and why? I would definitely be a vampire hunter. I don’t want to live forever and always […]
2011 AW Community Photograph
An interesting late afternoon with a lot of people gathering in ActiveWorlds AWGate for a community photograph. I’m afraid my personal screenshots weren’t very good but I just took ’em for fun. Took this at 4pm. Gaia and Riff were there too. Took this at 5pm. Pretty weird to see a lot of faces in […]
Nintendo DS – Monster Tale
So I got Monster Tale shortly after finding out about it. I thought Henry Hatsworth was a lot of fun and figured that Monster Tale would be the same with a ‘raising a pet’ twist to it. When the game starts, it’s about Ellie who wakes at night after hearing a sound. She investigates and […]
So you’re going to live forever…
The Daily Post asks: If you knew you were going to live forever, what would change? Well, I’d lock myself in a basement and cry because the idea of living forever is an absolute nightmare. I don’t know what some people see about this immortality stuff. Then I’d have to face the idea of seeing […]
Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure!
I re-discovered this game today while looking through my things. I remember getting this game for Christmas 2009 and immediately dismissing it because I was sure that it was a crappy game. After reading reviews about how addictive it can be, I opened it up and gave it a try. It really is addictive. You’re […]
CreateSpace Proof Copy arrived!
I was stunned the proof copy arrived today when the estimated date was the 7th. It arrived in a box but nothing to hold it in place. Upon opening the box, the book looks like one of those ‘gently used’ books because of the cover being a bit banged up. There’s this weird not-quite-bent-but-you-can-see-it edging… […]
Letters to a Djinn – Grace Zaring Stone
I don’t remember how I stumbled across this book on Google (eBook on Google Books). What surprised me was that I couldn’t find any reviews on the book or what it was about. I was immediately intrigued by the fact that it was published in 1922 and I wanted to know how a djinn was […]
