Riff might not be happy to hear this since he’s the one that convinced me to try Dungeons & Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited.
But… Wow! It is just terrible! Okay, Maybe I am rushing into my opinion of it but it is downright confusing. I have given the game three days and I still can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong.
I chose Khyber. Upon entering the game, you create a character, find yourself on a beach because of a shipwreck. You meet a thief and then you go through a quick dungeon. After that, you appear in Korthos. I tried doing quests but I keep dying. My magic, or ‘spell points’ goes to zero FAST. I have no choice but to use my staff to conk the monsters on the head and I keep dying. A LOT. Nothing ever recovers and I have no idea why.
I know in the sample dungeon, they said something about healing at shrines but those shrines don’t exist at all on the quests I’ve tried in Korthos. How the heck am I suppose to throw spells if it goes to 0 pretty fast? I don’t know. It seems to me that this game highly favors guilds, like you need to be in a guild as soon as you enter the game in order to advance anywhere.
I suppose I’ll keep tinkering with the game in the meanwhile in case I figure something out.
