Sometimes you just have to stop what you’re doing and get a bit silly to try to get some creative juices going…
Fantasy Gathering A dash of wizardry and dragons
R Town in ActiveWorlds
I was asked where I usually build in ActiveWorlds. The main building world is AlphaWorld but people build in a variety of other AWI-hosted worlds like Yellow, AWTeen, Winter, etc… Riff built R Town in AlphaWorld and I do most of my building in or near the town. R Town – AW – 2159N 1535W […]
Carmageddon
Sometimes technology can be a pain in the butt, especially when older stuff just stops working. I have a friend who suffers with having to figure out how to keep word documents updated over the many years as new programs are created and older stuff just stops working or comes out as gibberish. In my […]
You’re standing on my neck…
I’ve been trying to think of a series to re-watch on DVD ever since the huge explosion back in December/January with a lot of people re-watching Buffy. I don’t know if it has to do with the character, Buffy, turning 30 in January… Just a lot of people talking about re-watching the series. I remember […]
Dragon Prince by Melanie Rawn
I think I have to call it quits on this book. I’m 228 pages in but haven’t had the interest to pick it up and keep reading it. It’s been sitting on the edge of my desk for weeks now. I don’t think it’s boring or anything but it just seems to go on and […]
Trying to remember two children stories…
While watching “Moon” (2009 – The one about Sam Bell and GERTY! It was slow and boring yet interesting at times.), the movie reminded me of two stories. 1. A story about Earth failing. I believe it was about a little girl who was told that she could only take one item with her and […]
Bear
You know, I fought back and forth on whether or not I should blog about it. I didn’t want to come back and re-visit this post over and over. I finally decided I should say something about him. Bear passed away yesterday on February 8th, 2011. I guess it’s hard to figure out what to […]
Glaucus Atlanticus – Blue Dragon
While my friend was looking through images of animals such as marmosets, tamarins, and the like… I decided to hit google for any other unusual animals – only to come across this! Glaucus Atlanticus! Isn’t it just the neatest thing? My friend says that I’m only reacting to it because it’s blue but… Some bits […]
Snow Dragon
As soon as I heard about this, I had to blog it! “Minneapolis has a ‘Snow Dragon’ to melt snow on its roads.” (About 1:10 into the clip.)
Guild Wars
Well, Melika finally convinced me to try the free trial of Guild Wars. She and her friends used to play Perfect World last year before they lost interest (Sound familiar to another friend? Yeah, I’m looking at you.) but their attention turned to Guild Wars 2, a game that hasn’t come out yet. I wasn’t […]
